It is sometimes the details that make the difference, so we have added a couple more of our free must-have extensions. Today we will be stocking up the free extensions roster with J2Top, JsecX, JcatX and JVcheck.
J2Top is a simple plugin, which turns on a small "To Top of Page" Button once the user scrolls downwards. Once the button is clicked, the page slides in a smooth upward motion to its starting position and the button fades out again.
JsecX and Jcatx are a couple of goodies for the Joomla Blogger which allow your users more freedom when sorting your blog. You can now put one of two modules on your blogview, which either display the sections or the categories by which to sort your blog or content articles by. With this you avoid the boring standard joomla listview while allowing the users to. The "article categories" module on the right is what this does.
Our third new player is JVcheck. Install this nifty plugin and a small icon will appear and blink in the topmenu bar on your admin interface once a new Joomla Core Update is available. Kind of like your OS update icon in the taskbar. This is a built in plugin in all our other plugins, which informs you once a new version of something is released.
