freakedout blog

Welcome to our Blog. This is the place we publish articles about our products, interesting Joomla! extensions and more internet and business related topics.

As you well may know the J!andBeyond convention in Wiesbaden, Germany has come to an end. It is great to see the satisfaction and sweet aftertaste this event seems to have left with those that have attended. People are tweeting non-stop about this event and we are probably bound to see and possibly hear more updates in the coming days.

Content Uploader Pro 1.2

Another fast major update to one of our most popular Joomla! extensions, the Content Uploader Pro. The ability to upload contacts. In the traditional way you would have to open and save a form for each person you would like to add to your contacts section on your Joomla! website. Undoubtedly you shouldn't start a project without this tool.

headervectors

We are looking at some real nice vector source pages here in the fifth part of the series. They offer a tremendous amount of vectors for you to choose from to use in your projects. I have added nonetheless a couple of links to two great collections. Well the one on smashingmag, if you don't know it, is quite awesome.

Joomla UpdateThe Joomla Team announces the immediate availability of Joomla 1.5.18. This version inludes a security fix as well as a roll-back for the plugin auto disable feature, which was introduced in version 1.5.16 but did not satisfy the community at all.

headericons

In the 4th part of our series we have put together a short list of some amazing icon collections. Some of these collections comprise of collections including hundreds of different icons. If you are looking for a quick and clean solution to find a nice standard set, you should check out Iconza. You can change the colors and sizes and download them for free. And if all those still aren't enough for your icon cravings you can browse the endless icon collections at Iconfinder, Iconfever, Iconspedia, Findicons and the bit old school Iconarchive. Have a great weekend!

headertextures

And it is tuesday again. Here comes a collection of brilliant sites with uncountable patterns and textures and some with communities behind them. A couple of them offer cool background generators, so let your imagination run wild. Enjoy these bookmarkable resources all in one place and feel free to share yours in the comments section below. Next time around we will post some really nice vector packs. Have a good week.

cu11When it comes to populating your Joomla! site with contents, you won't find a match for the Content Uploader. Two noteable features have been added to the pro version. A new interface for uploading your web links as well as K2 support, which had been added to the prior release, now grace the list of features.

jfwd There has recently been an uprising of enthusiastic Joomla! developers and users, such as Nicholas Dionysopoulos and parts of the ATAAW community, who aparently want to help the core developers and speed up the process to bring Joomla! 1.6 forward. The article received a provocative title, to hopefully raise some awareness about Joomla! and how you can help.

articleleadJoomailer, our Campaign Monitor integration for Joomla!, is moving ever closer towards the release candidate. In this upgrade we have implemented a few requested features. Joomailer 0.9.4 has received some cruicial changes, which will allow us to apply some exciting interface changes to the next version.

headerbrush
The continuation of our series includes some stunning photoshop brushes with which you will be able to add those individual touches to the collections of textures we will have for you next time. All together over 3000 paintshop brushes assembled in 6 collections for your template and newsletter designing pleasure. It might take you some time to sift through all of those, but it will be well worth it.

Why freaked out?

The name "freaked out" does not symbolize our mental state but rather the approach to give our clients the unexpected - the extra edge - over their competitors to be successful in bussiness. That might appear from time to time a little freaked out but if you want plain vanilla work there are plenty of companies out there offering that. We go beyond.
