Does it support Joomla 6 and earlier versions?
Yes. Content Uploader is compatible with Joomla 3, 4, 5 and 6 for bulk article imports. Migration export works on Joomla 3, 4, 5 and 6, and migration import works on Joomla 5 and 6.
Can I import images with articles?
Yes. You can import both featured and inline images using file paths or URLs directly from your Excel or CSV spreadsheet into Joomla articles.
Can I update existing Joomla articles?
Yes. You can update existing articles by linking a column in your spreadsheet to the article IDs, making bulk updates simple and efficient.
What spreadsheet formats are supported?
Content Uploader supports common file formats such as Excel .xlsx, .xls and .csv as well as OpenOffice .ods, allowing you to work with the format that fits your workflow.
Do I need coding skills to use this extension?
No. The import process is designed to be intuitive. Simply prepare your spreadsheet, map columns to Joomla fields, and press Upload. No programming knowledge is required.
Can I import other item types besides articles?
Yes. In addition to Joomla articles, Pro supports importing items such as J2Store products, Phoca Cart products, Web Links, Contacts, and Akeeba Admin Tools URL redirects from your spreadsheet.
Can I save and reuse upload configurations?
Yes. You can save multiple upload configurations as templates in the Pro version, so for recurring imports you only select the file and upload - no need to remap fields each time. The Free version is limited to one configuration.
How long will the extension work after my subscription expires?
You can continue using the extension forever - even after your subscription expires. However, to receive software updates and access premium support, an active subscription is required.
Can I use the extension on multiple Joomla sites?
Yes. You are free to install and use Content Uploader Free/Pro on as many websites or domains as you like. Premium support may be subject to fair use limitations.
