We have just released a new version of the Excel Uploader for Joomla!. The new update includes the following changes:
- component is now in MVC form.
- the configuration screen has now been changed
to parameters and the main screen has a slightly different feel to it.
Now that the Excel Uploader is in MVC form it should be able to better handle future versions of Joomla. We have also removed the configuration view and replaced it with parameters. In order to keep things simple we also decided to remove the "Title Format" parameter and change the way that the "Intro Text" is constructed. The titles for articles are now taken from Column 1 and the intro texts are taken from Column 2 in the Excel workbook. They can still, however, both be used in the main body of the article using the placeholders {1} and {2} as before. We hope you will agree that this is a simpler setup than before.
